Now that Built-in Payments is officially released, I thought I would take the opportunity to provide you with more details about what it is, how it works, and the benefits.
As a bit of background, we’ve spent a lot of time integrating payment systems into Rezgo. To date we’ve integrated over forty from around the World including popular ones like Stripe, Authorize.net, Ingenico, and others. The problem is though, that in a lot of places around the World, merchant accounts for processing credit cards can be really hard to get, and they can be expensive for small businesses. Although companies like Stripe and PayPal have helped, payments are still a real challenge for a lot of businesses.
We developedBuilt-in Payments powered by TrustMyTravel in order to provide you and all tour and activity business with affordable and easy to use credit card payment processing. Through our payment partner, TrustMyTravel, we are able to provide you with credit card acceptance rates as low as 1.92%, with no other per transaction fees. This is a savings compared to most local payment providers including PayPal and Stripe. The other benefit to Built-in Payments is that funds are deposited directly into your bank account on a weekly basis.
As part of the launch, a Built-in Payments account was automatically created for each Rezgo account and it is ready to go. No application, no sign-up, and no hoops to jump through. You can start taking credit card payments for your bookings right now. In order to receive your funds, all you need to do is click on the “Attach Your Bank Account Now” button and fill out your bank details, available here:

Once your bank account details are verified, which can take a day or so, you’ll start to receive regular weekly payouts. The payouts are initiated on Tuesdays and depending on your bank, it may take a day or two for the funds to be deposited into your account. Your funds are transferred to you via ACH ($3.00) where available or Wire Transfer ($10.00). Now that Built-in Payments is live, we have phased out support for manual credit card capture. In addition, the existing PayPal Standard integration has been phased out. Existing Rezgo members who are using either manual credit card capture or PayPal Standard will still be able to use it, but no new members will be able to enable PayPal Standard or manual credit card capture on their account. All Rezgo accounts will require either Built-in Payments or one of our supported payment gateways.
Our hope is that you’ll find Built-in Payments to be a superior payment solution for your business compared to manual payments or even Stripe or PayPal.
