I am excited to announce that Rezgo 6, which has been in beta since the middle of July, is now ready for prime time. On October 1st, Rezgo 6 will roll out as live. In preparation for the live release, I would like to take this opportunity to remind you of some of the things you will need to do in the Beta in anticipation of the release.
Update your images – Rezgo 6 is designed to showcase your high definition 720p photos. Since Rezgo no longer supports the traditional square thumbnail photo, it is important that you upload at least one hi-res 1280 x 720 image to compliment each tour.
Update your site template – The new booking website is built on a responsive design which adjusts automatically based on the screen size of the device being used. When Rezgo 6 was launched into Beta, a copy of your existing template was copied to the Beta system. If you have made changes to your live template since that time or if you signed up with Rezgo after the Beta was launched, your template will not be updated and will need to be copied from your live account. The easiest way to copy your template is to go to your current Settings > Site Templates, copy the template and paste it to Notepad (on Windows) or a text editor. Log into the Beta, go to Settings > Templates > Full Site Template. Click on the Modify button and paste the template code. Save your changes and the template will be updated.
Customize your email messages – Rezgo 6 gives you the ability to customize the confirmation and status update messages sent by the system. If you would like to customize the message sent to your customers, go to Settings > Templates and add the customized text to the Booking Confirmation or Booking Status Change message.
Get familiar with the new administration system – Although the main functions and features of Rezgo have not change, how you navigate to them in the new administration system has changed. In order to make the most of your experience with the new system, please take a few moments to look around and get familiar with it. In almost all cases, we have reduced the number of steps to find features and made the navigation simpler. You will probably find that what took two or three clicks can now be accomplished with just one. We will be releasing new documentation over the next few weeks to coincide with the release of the new system.
Finally, I would like to thank you for your feedback and continued support as we roll out this brand new system. The entire Rezgo team has been working very hard to make sure that Rezgo 6 is the best and most efficient Rezgo yet. Your feedback and bug reports during the Beta have helped us improve the system even more during the Beta period. Over the next two weeks, as we prepare for the release, we will continue to update you. In the mean time, if you have any questions, please let us know.
