If you want to offer a discount to customers who book early, you can create an early bird discount rule to automatically discount prices for early bookings.
1. To make an early bird discount rule, go to Inventory > Rules in the main menu.
2. Click Create Rule.
3. Give your rule a name that’s easy to recognize (1), and a description of what it will do (2).
If you have multiple rules that need to be applied in a specific order, you can also set a priority on the rule (3). The highest priority rule will take effect last, so it will be applied after lower priority adjustments or discounts that apply to the same order.
4. Click Early Bird Discount under Quick Create.
5. Enter the number of days before the event where the discount should start applying in the Min field.
For example, if you want to offer a discount to people who book at least 90 days before their event, you’d enter 90 in the Min field.
You only need to enter something in the Max field if you want the discount’s date range to begin at a specific time, too. This isn’t typically needed for an early bird discount.
6. Enter the discount you want to offer (1) and select whether this should be a dollar discount or a percentage discount (2).
7. Add any other conditions or actions you want this rule to take. For example, if you only want this discount to apply to certain inventory, you could use the Inventory Being Booked condition.
8. Click Create Rule.
